This month, we have plans to streamline the profile creation/update process (when you log in to the site, its how you edit your info) and more BCN updates.

Also note, we pushed a few extras into August's schedule (see entry two posts back).

I bet the chapters do!

By tagging the section pages, you can make a right-side navigation system. Take a look at the Rochester, MN site which I've already done to see what I mean (Hi, Gerry!)

August Web Dev Schedule

This August we have a number of upgrades planned to launch 8/30:

1) Experts List
For the media.

2) Badger Games
A straight-forward trivia/game system for logged in users.

3) Badger Career Network Tracking and Upgrades
Allows us to see who is using the BCN. Also, adds icons to the directory, extends industry list, potentially changes the search form.

4) Template Adjustment
So we can make the email/print/save section prettier and have viral tools on every page.

Edit: 5) Wide Templates for forms and whatnot

July Development Launch Schedule

July 31st, we are planning on launching a few upgrades to the site:

1) Tagging Category Pages
This will let us treat category (branch) pages like content (leaf pages).
This will also allow chapters to put all their category pages in the top-right corner as navigation of their chapter site.

2) Blogging
Yay! Want a uwalumni.com blog? Let me know.

3) New Server
We are going to cluster 2.5 servers to run the site to eliminate a majority of "Page Unavailable" errors when the server load gets high.
